I got a haircut with Mandana for $50 (before tip). When I got there, I was given some tea. I was offered complimentary chair massage (back, neck, and hands) before I got my hair washed. While she was working on my hair, she gave me some great suggestions for how to resolve some of the day-to-day frustrations I have with my hair based on the type of hair I have. She worked hard to make sure my hair turned out the way I wanted it to be and periodically checked in to make sure she was working in the right direction. I have had some bad haircuts in the past (at different salons, not this one), so it was reassuring she was checking in with me along the way to make sure it turned out right. Overall it was a great experience! I have gotten my hair cut and highlighted here a few times, and every time it has been a great experience and my hair always turns out great!

She was not happy with how my color turned out (Not her fault, she followed my formulas brought from another Aveda salon in Las Vegas). I've been going to the John's Creek/Duluth salon for many years and have experienced several stylists, all of them terrific. I have had my hair colored for years and I use only Aveda products which last forever( you don't need much) and keep my hair healthy and shiny. I also appreciate their twice yearly sale that allows me to purchase services ahead and get added money for my purchase. I recommend them because they're so good and they really want you to be happy.

Mandy was referred to me by a friend and she did a stellar job highlighting cutting and blow out. I struggle to find someone who is good at color plus cut and she didn’t disappoint. I’m the hardest to please with my hair but I was so happy. The salon is friendly and smaller so it’s not loud and packed with people like others. I felt I was given very specialized one on one service with someone who listens vs being rushed in and out. I’d only suggest adding a scalp massage after wash but that is a small change outside of the overall services. I will return to Mandy and I do recommend highly to others. She was a true professional. Went in today to get my hair trimmed, it was my first time coming in to the location and I felt very welcomed by your staff. Lucy was my stylist and from now on she will be my stylist. She is very detailed oriented when it came to trimming my hair she made sure the cut was just right according to the contour of my face. She is extremely sweet and although it was my first time interacting with her she treated me like I had been getting my hair cut with her for years. I have a gluten allergy and she made sure all the products she used were gluten free. She is amazing!!!

I'm extremely upset and rather angry about my appointment. I came in and discussed with my stylist that while I wanted the problem ends of my hair fixed, I wanted my hair NO shorter than the middle of my back. 4-5 inches off, maximum. As soon as they made the first cut, it was already shorter than what I had specified, and by the time it was all said and done, my hair is closer to my shoulder blades, my layers are too long, and it's more of a bob instead of the longer, layered style I asked for. I'm extremely disappointed and upset, because it seems around 8" came off instead of four. I will not be returning and will never recommend this salon. Very poor listening skills, the stylist did what they wanted, not what I had asked.

I went to Joseph and Friends for years growing up in Roswell. Now moving back home 10 years later, it is so nice to know it is the same at other locations!! Consistency is the name of their game. I went to the Johns Creek location and my stylist (Feree) was excellent. She took her time with me and didn't rush. She made me feel comfortable and gave me honest feed back. Only wish we had taken before and after pictures of my hair!! I've obviously have found my salon for life!

I was not happy with my service. The young girl was pleasant enough, but did not cut my hair how I instructed. I simply wanted to get 2 1/2 inches off with straight cut across bottom. I warned not to shear or thin or layer my hair too much because it is too fly away. She sheared/layered/ or thin the heck out of it.

Tezu is the best colorist for all ethnicity hair. If you don't think something is quite the way you expected then YOU have to speak up and she will make adjustments to something beautiful. The stylist I wanted for hair and makeup was unavailable. I made a hair appointment with another stylist that my daughter has gone to for years. When we arrive her appointment is with another stylist and no one ever explained why or asked if it was OK. I booked my makeup at another salon yet I was billed. After I explained that I never booked makeup, I was not charged. I confirmed my apt but continued to receive phone calls text and emails concerning my appointment.

While the hairstylists do excellent work, I have come to expect 1) last minute or same day cancellations, often times with minimum apologies based on what member of the management team I have dealt with, 2) delays in appointment times. I have had three cuts/styles and a total of 3 cancellations and two delays. Management team - please do a service to both your customers and your highly talented stylists by managing front of the house more effectively. It is a turn off for referrals.

I wanted to change my blonde hair to a Carmel brown. I now have a zebra striped head. (No I did not want that!!!) And the last 4-6 inches of my hair turned black!!! I look like a goth nightmare! Zebra striped blonde and red on top and black ends. 5hat is not a Carmel hair color!!!! Also I was quoted $89.00 for turning my blonde to brown. I left paying $190.00 for the worst hair color EVER!!!! I did not want a zebra stripe with black ends!!! But I sure paid for it. Also they did not even put any conditioner in!!! My hair feels fried and sticky!!! Do not EVER go here!!! They offered to "fix" my hair. But they didn't have any appointments. Now I get to spend Thanksgiving looking like a goth nightmare. I'm a 40+ year old soccer mom.....

I have been 3 or 4 times and in the past the service was great (4 or 5 stars). However, this time it was poor. I wanted my hair highlights (partial highlights) to match the highlights from the last times I was there. My hairdresser said that is what He was going to do. However, a major mistake was made. A brownish red color somehow was placed in my hair. I do not and have never had a brownish red color / highlight in my hair before. It is almost like it is in one area in the front part of my head and looks VERY BAD! Also the top portion of my hair is now overall darker than the bottom portion of my hair. I did get $20 off. However, I have to live with this bad looking hair for probably 4-6 months. I am very upset about it. I don't understand how this hair dresser has done so well before and this time made such a mistake. I will only return if they can somehow fix my hair without destroying (frizzing my hair) and do my hair without charge.

Really loved my first time getting my hair cut at Joseph and Friends. Adored the Aveda products and the complimentary shampoo and style. You don't find that at many places for the cost. Rachel was my stylist - she listened to what I wanted and knew what she was doing. I even went back the next day to figure out what she used on my hair and purchased it because my hair was so soft and shiny. The prices are accurate based on the Aveda website (I even checked Amazon and J&F was cheaper) and she walked through what she'd recommend I use according to my hair type rather than just trying to sell something. I will definitely continue to go back to this location and I was already recommending it to coworkers the next day.
