Wonderful experience! I drive from Chattanooga to see Joseph. Went to him when we lived in Atlanta area, we moved to Chattanooga. Well worth the drive! It is always a fantastic cut and style. The staff at the three locations I have visited are accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!!
I use my hands for a living. When I first hired Joseph - the founder and owner, I was desperate to find someone who can make my difficult hair look decent. My hair has sections that grow in different directions, variety of textures, and even straight mixed with curly. Most stylists have to cut my hair for 4 to 6 months to figure it out. And even then, the cut looks marginally good at best. The first time I met Joseph, he felt my hair my gliding across it like a surfer. Within 2 minutes of assessment, he knew more than other stylists who spent years cutting my hair. He holds his shear and assisting hand in perfect harmony, and without effort, cuts in the direction of my unruly hair. He knew and recommended where to keep short, blend, and add a bit of length - so I can get the tossed messy look on leisure days. And more importantly, style it for stylish occasions. It is a joy to watch him work. When he does the final rinse, puts a little product in, and present yourself in the mirror for the final analysis - it always puts a smile on my face. I feel good when I am finished. Women know that feeling more than men; but if you are a man - you should treat yourself. I’ve been going to Joseph for years now, and he is the only person I trust when it comes to cutting my hair. He truly listens, takes his time, and you can tell he is genuinely passionate about the art of hair. This was my first time at Joseph and Friends and first time going to Ernesto. I have been to several stylist over rhe past couple years, brought the picture, and left with a haircut that looked nothing like i showed them... not a bad cut but not what I asked for. Until Ernest... he listed, he discussed, he reviewed... and he cut my hair as I asked him to. Usually, there would be nerves when going to a new stylist for the first time but he made me feel immediately at ease. Is he inexpensive? Nope. But my haircut is something for which, I am willing to pay.
