Keratin Straightening Treatment

Global Keratin and Sunpure Smoothing Keratin Joseph and Friends uses the Global Keratin line of Keratin Straightening Treatments. It is formaldehyde free and is the safest way to eliminate curl and frizz, adds incredible shine, rejuvenate hair with Juvexin protein, reduce morning prep time and is gentle and safe for all hair types. Important steps to follow for at-home care and maintenance after your keratin hair straightening: • Although you can wash your hair immediately after we recommend to please wait 1-2 days before washing your hair for longer lasting results. During this time if your hair gets wet quickly dry your hair to a sleek finish. • You can blow dry your hair in the morning to smooth any kinks that might have occurred while you were sleeping. This will enhance your final result. • You can expect 20-30% curl to come back in about 4-5 weeks • Any chemical services such as color should be done either 2 weeks before Keratin Treatment or 2 weeks after • If you go swimming in pools or sea water wash your hair with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. Chlorine and Seawater will break down the Keratin. • The treatment should last approximately 4-5 months before you need to reapply. The second Keratin that Joseph and Friends uses is the Sunpure Smoothing line. It is another safes way to eliminate curl and frizz, add incredible shine, rejuvenate hair, reduce morning prep time and is gentle and safe for all hair types. Important steps to follow for at-home care and maintenance after your keratin hair straightening: • Please wait 3 days before washing your hair. During this time: Do not use clips, pins or any type of hair fasteners, no ponytails. • If your hair gets wet or if you perspire quickly dry your hair to a sleek finish. Do not allow hair to dry naturally. • You can blow dry your hair in the morning to smooth any kinks that might have occurred while you were sleeping. This will enhance your final result. • You can expect 20-30% curl to come back in about 2-3 weeks • Any chemical services such as color should be done day of Keratin Straightening or 7-10 days after • If you go swimming in pools or sea water wash your hair with sulfite free shampoo and conditioner. Chlorine and Seawater will break down the Keratin. • The treatment should last approximately 3-4 months before you need to reapply. You must use sulfate free shampoos and conditioners with both of our Keratin treatments. The shampoos and conditioners that Aveda recommends that are sulfate-free are: Dry Remedy, Damage Remedy, Invati, Men’s Pureformance, Be Curly CoWash and all the styling products.

The Botanical Hair & Scalp TherapySM is Aveda’s “facial for hair,” a holistic approach to healthy hair and scalp. The full service begins with an aroma-therapeutic Balancing Touch Massage customized to treat the guest’s scalp condition and balance their mood. Next, the hair is repaired with a professionally prescribed, botanically based treatment that improves hair’s condition by up to 71%, while the guest is treated to a Stress-Relieving Hand Ritual. Finally, the treatment is rinsed out of the hair and styled. The Full Spectrum Gloss utilizes Aveda’s demi-permanent hair color. Aveda Full SpectrumTM hair color is up to 99% naturally derived; infused with conditioning plant oils for shinier, healthier-looking color. The treatment formula actually improves the condition of damaged hair. The rosy, lavender aroma elevates the color service to a soothing, sensory experience. The formula contains a natural anti-oxidant to protect hair against UV aggression. Color gradually fades on tone. Our Specialists can also choose any of Aveda’s other conditioning treatments such as: Dry Remedy Moisturizing Treatment, Color Conserve Strengthening Treatment, Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment.
