Homa is my colorist. This is the second time I have been to her for full balayage, foils and a root cover (with root touch ups in between). Today was a marathon session involving three processes and five colors. But it was worth it, it looks amazing, I love it. My regular stylist of 7 years left her local salon and started doing hair at home, leaving me on a mad search for a local stylist who had ability to give a precision pixie cut ( point-cut) with a spiky top. I absolutely LOVED my stylist, he did an amazing job on my cut but the amount of money that I was charged for color was absolutely INSANE!!! If I had known the amount I would be charged I would have never gotten my hair done here. I know I should have asked the cost before the work was done and that is my fault but I have never had anyone charge me $189 just to color my hair ($189 doesn't include the haircut). No highlights or anything just color!! It is unfortunate because based just on my stylist I would return and recommend people here but I do not like getting ripped off. I had my hair done at Jamison Shaw in Atlanta for a cut, color and highlights and did not pay as much as I did here.

I had a simple touch up for highlights and a slight trim and was charged $200. I will not be back!! On a personal level I adore Irena (stylist); however, she is entirely too slow. It took over 30 minutes just to put a simple toner in my hair. Against my better judgment I decided to return and give her a 2nd chance after my first visit which was a disaster. The first experience was horrible. I sat for 3 hours and finally said don't worry about cutting. It literally took 3 hours just to foil my hair and get the chemicals out. At which point, I stated to put conditioner on it and I left there with a cap on my head with no haircut!! Again, I have nothing against Irena. She is very thorough to a fault. You need to clear your day when you get your hair done. Simply stated, I will not be paying $200 for a highlight touch up and a trim to my hair! If that's the case, I need to change my profession!!

Was excited to find a spa that was credible in the area. Desperately needed an eyebrow wax- my eyebrows still had their shape but were getting a bit unkempt. I get them waxed every 5-6 weeks. My brows are now about half as thin as they were before my appointment. I haven't had my eyebrows this thin in ten years. When I got to the register, I was charged $30. I have never paid that much for an eyebrow wax since I started waxing fifteen years ago. I was told when I made the appointment that the price was in the teens. Not sure why I was charged such an exorbant amount. I could ignore the fact that I now have pencil thin brows if I hadn't just spent twice the normal fee. Won't be going back.

I took a hiatus from Joseph and Friends for about a year and am just returning thanks to a charming experience with my new stylist, Sommer. My husband and I recently adopted. As the white mom of a black daughter, it is my duty and privilege to honor her culture by learning to care for her hair. I stopped by the salon on a whim and was paired with Sommer, who educated me on my daughter's hair, its need for moisture, and tips for maintenance. When the time came for me to get my own haircut, I called and scheduled an appointment, specifically requesting Sommer because I liked her easy-going nature. She is amazingly talented! Itold her about my nonexistent morning hair care routine, so she gave me a cut that looks incredible but is also easy to replicate sans blower dryer or styling tools. I'm surprised that a stylist like her is also so affordable. One of the reasons I had taken a break from the salon before was that my former stylist's rates were so high. Now, I am reminded why spending those extra few bucks puts my $15 cuts from the big national chain to shame. For $35, I got a chair massage, a wash, a cut, styling, and a haircut which I'm sure will revive many compliments!

Oh, Wow. I don't know if my words are enough. Summer was absolutely the best. First - - the massage!!! Awesome!!! Then, she took her time. She talked to me. She asked smart questions figuring out what I wanted and what I didn't want. She was so gentle. I don't know if I've ever had a person be so gentle. Even when she washed my hair, she was gentle. She was thorough. After she washed and cut, she dried my hair the way I dry it, again she listened to what I wanted, and did adjustments accordingly. I am a large woman and don't always feel welcome at many places. But, Summer made me feel like was a person. I'll definitely go back. I believe I've found my hair home!!!

Sommer was super-friendly, and very attentive to the problem I presented with, which was a botched pixie trim by a friend who had told me she could cut hair... Sommer worked with me until I was satisfied with how my bangs blended to the side, and encouraged me to come back for a complimentary shape-up on the area once my hair has grown out more and is able to be evened up. I give props to any stylist who has to correct or work with a poor and uneven haircut, especially an unforgiving pixie.

This was my first time at Joseph and Friends but my mom is a frequent customer. I decided to get my hair and make up done for a wedding last minute and they were extremely accommodating. My hair and make up looked wonderful and I will be sure to use them in the future. It was nice that they even had the make up for sale at the location so I could purchase the tube of lipstick they used to reapply throughout the day.

Consistency is the word that comes to mind when I tell friends about Joseph and Friends Salon and Day Spa. Over the years, I have always received great care at Joseph and Friends. My stylist is Ray at the Roswell location. He always talks with me in advance about my expectations, whether I want to cut more or less, if the color will be the same or would I like any changes...thus I leave there with the cut and color I want with no surprises.
